Indore, October 02: In a significant step towards tech-enabled citizen safety, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Mohan Yadav officially launched Safe Clicks developed by Abacus Consultancy Services in collaboration with Indore Police Commissionerate, an AI-powered cyber safety assistant designed to help citizens identify, report, and protect themselves against cyber threats in real-time.

The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Indore Police and Abacus Consultancy Services (ACS). The launch event, held at the DRP Line, was attended by over 500 participants, including senior government officials, cybersecurity professionals, educators, and technology leaders.

Calling the tool “a proactive, accessible leap in modern policing,” CM Yadav stated:

“Cyber safety is now just a message away. Safe Clicks brings the power of AI into the hands of citizens, enabling quick, informed, and secure online interactions.”

The idea for Safe Clicks was first proposed by Police Commissioner Shri Santosh Kumar Singh in response to the rising number of digital fraud complaints. The project was advanced under the leadership of ADCP Shri Rajesh Dandotiya, a passionate advocate for cyber awareness who has conducted over 1,000 public awareness campaigns. He emphasized:

“Cybersecurity education must be constant and inclusive — Safe Clicks ensures that help and information are always accessible.”

What Safe Clicks Offers

Safe Clicks acts as an AI-powered virtual assistant that enables users to:

• Verify suspicious links or messages by forwarding them directly to the bot.
• Get guidance on what to do if scammed or exposed to online fraud.
• Learn preventive steps for safe digital behavior.
• Understand how to report incidents and connect to official portals.
• Access all of the above through natural language conversation, in text or voice, across multiple platforms.

Available on WhatsApp, Web, Android, and iOS, users simply need to send a “Hi” to start. There’s no need to navigate complex websites or deal with technical jargon — the assistant replies instantly in simple language and can handle multilingual inputs.

Live Demonstration and Engagement

At the event, ACS CEO Mr. Shishir Tiwari demonstrated Safe Clicks in action, explaining:

“Built on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), Safe Clicks understands user intent and responds accurately — not only answering questions, but also guiding citizens with empathy and context.”

Attendees participated in live demonstrations and explored a dedicated helpdesk, gaining hands-on experience with the platform.

The event concluded with widespread appreciation for the Indore Police and ACS team, as the audience embraced the city’s new digital safety slogan:

“Swachh Indore, ab Surakshit Indore.”
